Tenrox Receives Section 508 Compliance Certification

Pasadena, California — Tenrox, the Integrated Operational Control and Compliance Software Company, today announced that its entry and management systems and processes have been certified as Section 508 Compliant by Criterion 508 Solutions Inc. This is in accordance with the U.S. Rehabilitation Act which was amended by the US Congress in 1998 requiring Federal agencies to make their electronic and information technology accessible to people with disabilities. As a result of non discrimination, equal rights and fair labor standards acts many Global 2000 companies are also mandated to comply with Section 508.

Tenrox entry and management systems and services are now fully compliant with Section 508, satisfying the Act?s software provisions for the visually impaired. Other provisions include animated displays, color and contrast settings, flash rate, electronic forms, and more.

“Section 508 increases the availability of accessible technologies, providing the estimated 54 million people with disabilities in the United States with better IT employment opportunities that fit their talents and skills,” said Rudolf Melik, CEO Tenrox. “We are proud to do our part in providing the first Project Governance and Compliance Software solution to address the enterprise software needs of people with disabilities.”

About Section 508

Section 508 was enacted to eliminate barriers in information technology, to make available new opportunities for people with disabilities, and to encourage development of technologies that will help achieve these goals. The law applies to all Federal agencies when they develop, procure, maintain, or use electronic and information technology. Under Section 508, agencies must give disabled employees and members of the public access to information that is comparable to the access available to others.
